Hengqin agency takes IP services on online pilot run

The HIPEX Platform Agency, a financial innovation trial founded and operated by Hengqin International Intellectual Property Trading Center Co Ltd, was launched with online trading on May 11.

Approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province in December 2014, HIPEX is also known as the Seven Stringed Lute National Platform. It is invested by Zhuhai Financial Investment Holdings Group, Hengqin Financial Investment Co Ltd, and Hengqin Development Ltd Liability Co.

After two years' construction, the Seven Stringed Lute National Platform has initiated the online trading system featuring intellectual property financial innovation and cross-border transactions with carriers of the official website and an application mobile client.

With instant messaging, community sharing, e-commerce transactions and interpersonal resources management, the system also supports international business in terms of language and payment. Working in the intellectual property sphere the way the largest domestic C2C shopping website Taobao does, the platform provides and delivers patents, trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and other intellectual property items.

The next step -- a national layout plan -- will promote the mode of online to offline linkage around the country, according to HIPEX. The first branch was recently unveiled in Hebei Province, and the international trading of the platform will be improved day by day.
