A photography exhibition with 49 works depicting sights of Gold Coast City in Australia opened at the Gu Yuan Museum of Art on East Meihua Road of New Xiangzhou on May 9.
Sponsored by the Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Bureau and Gold Coast Mayor's Office, and organized by the museum, the exhibit commemorates the fifth anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Zhuhai and Gold Coast.
Since November 2012, the two cities have been promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The pictures show beautiful landscape of Gold Coast, and are expected to strengthen understanding and friendships between people.

Zhuhai is one of the earliest special economic zones established in China. As one of the country's windows of "opening up" and an important port city, it has been active in foreign cultural exchanges. The local government has enlivened the city with brilliant and varied international cultural activities. An organizer said that the photography show will deepen communication and cooperation with the municipal government of Gold Coast in culture, art, and other fields.
Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, his wife, Ruth, and staff attended the opening ceremony along with representatives of Zhuhai government departments.
