Suzhou College of Information Technology, formerly known as NUPT (Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunication Wujiang Vocational Technology College), was established in March, 2009.

It is a higher vocational technical institute recorded in Ministry of Education and approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. Located in Wujiang, Suzhou, "the land of abundant fish and rice" and "the home of silk" it covers an area of approximately 618 mu with a construction area of 113,949 square meters.

There are seven departments, namely: Department of Economics and Trade, Department of Management Engineering, Department of Communication and Information Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Technology, English Department and Department of Basic Courses. The College has 38 varieties of laboratories and training bases, 44 Multi-media classrooms and over 285,000 books in the library.

There are now over 3,000 full-time students and 169 full-time professional teachers and researchers, among whom 45 have gained vice-senior title, and 73 have got the Master's degree. There are also over 10 specialists in the industries and corporate and professors from other universities and different vocations.
