Ordos combats desertification with work-relief programs

Desertification control efforts are underway in Angsu town, Otog Front Banner, Ordos city, with workers installing sand barriers and grid-based sand fixation structures in the heart of the Mu Us Sandy Land.

In recent years, the town has implemented work-relief programs to involve local farmers and herders in desertification control efforts. The initiative provides employment opportunities while strengthening the local ecological barrier and protecting the environment.
