Turpan treasures tell Silk Road stories at Zhoushan exhibition

Turpan is a vital hub on the ancient Silk Road. Now, for the first time, its treasured artifacts have arrived in Zhoushan. From ancient documents and pottery to mural fragments and preserved food remains, a rich array of treasures from this Silk Road stronghold will be on display at the Zhoushan Museum in Zhejiang province. Through these objects, the exhibition vividly reconstructs the world of the ancient Silk Road, revealing its systems of governance, spiritual beliefs, and everyday life.
