An intangible cultural heritage exhibition, centered on integrating tradition and modernity, has opened at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport's Terminal 5, featuring more than 10 representative Shaanxi intangible cultural heritage items and offering travelers an artistic feast.
The airport has focused on developing into a humanistic, culturally rich airport over the past year, with many well-known designers, artists, and architects invited to participate in this exhibition. The exhibition features contemporary furniture and artworks inspired by traditional crafts, including bamboo weaving and clay sculpture.
The exhibition, which will run for one month, features an open layout complemented by Tang-style architecture and intangible cultural heritage themes, creating a strong historical and cultural atmosphere.
"Since Terminal 5 was put into operation, we have opened the world's first local cultural relics exhibition museum inside an airport, which has received extensive attention," said He Yan, an airport representative, adding, "We will use Shaanxi's historical and cultural accumulation and intangible cultural heritage resources to promote the integration of regional culture, natural endowment, and modern transportation service system."
