The China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, opens the year with a new exhibition that takes you to the Xixia Imperial Tombs, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site nestled at the foot of the Helan Mountains. Travel back in time to the Western Xia (1038-1227) history through round carved stone pedestals, touchable replica of the architectural components from the tomb complex, and interactive displays of the Tangut (Western Xia) script.
