As the first port in northern China to implement regular shore power for ro-ro vessels, the port has supplied clean electricity to more than 8,000 ships, reducing fuel consumption by 5,125 metric tons and cutting nearly 30,000 tons of emissions.

Sixteen ro-ro berths of the Passenger & Ro-Ro Company of Yantai Port are now equipped with shore power, supported by 10 high-voltage units, 23 high-voltage connection boxes, four patented technologies, and a team of 32 professional technicians.

A pioneering standardized shore power operation system allows the entire service to be completed online, while enabling remote connection and disconnection.

The company also applies reasonable pricing and strategically manages berth capacity and shore power infrastructure to maximize equipment utilization, ensuring reliable and efficient service for all vessels.
