A first for the Palace Museum: Establishing the Palace Museum Academy
On Nov 4, 2013, the Palace Museum Academy (Gugong xueyuan) was officially established with a ceremony held in Beijing International Vocational Education School. As the first academy in China founded by a museum, it combines professional training and public education. From nurturing museum professionals to sharing knowledge with audiences across China and beyond, the academy serves as a bridge between the Forbidden City's heritage and learners, supporting the sustainable growth of the museum.
