Dit Holdings has launched a new facility in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), focusing on the production of key components such as car body panels, chassis structures, and new energy battery boxes for Geely's latest models.

The initiative is part of a larger trend in the zone's Intelligent Connected and Electric Vehicle Industrial Park, which has secured 23 new projects this year with agreements totaling 31.4 billion yuan ($4.44 billion).

The automotive cluster in WEDZ has attracted over 300 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with Dit's facility boasting an annual capacity of 300,000 sets. "Wuhan's location and robust automotive supply chain give us confidence in our growth prospects here," said Wu Jinsheng, general manager of Dit's Wuhan branch.

The impressive growth of the cluster is reflected in its output, which has increased from 28.25 billion yuan to 42.26 billion yuan over the past three years.

WEDZ has established an integrated coordination mechanism for production, supply, and sales across the industrial chain's upstream and downstream sectors. It has also developed a shared manufacturing model that facilitates the sharing of resources such as general production equipment, logistics, warehousing, manpower, and design.
