What we do

The website China Economic Development Zones is a platform offering up-to-date information and rich resources about China's economic development zones (EDZs). It is of special interest for overseas companies or individuals thinking of starting their own business or partnering with the zones’ Chinese businesses.

The English website provides a variety of services, including consultations on business opportunities, support for business activities and notifications of the latest industrial developments in China’s national and provincial EDZs. It also gives investors information about China’s preferential policies such as tariff reductions and corporate tax deductions available when they operate their businesses in the EDZs.

Who we are

Operated by China Daily, the platform is part of the Invest in China website, which aims to promote China's investment environment abroad and provide comprehensive services to overseas companies.

China Daily, established in 1981 as China’s national English-language newspaper, has developed into a multi-media information platform combining newspapers, websites and apps with a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, Sina Weibo and WeChat. China Daily has rich experience in planning, building and operating various kinds of English websites. So far, we've built official websites for ministries and commissions directly under the State Council, such as the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, National Health Commission and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. We’ve also cooperated with dozens of local investment promotion bureaus and national development zones to help them operate their English websites.
