Xi'an's exhibition industry competitiveness has ranked 13th on the 2024 list of China's most competitive exhibition cities, up two places from the previous year and 6th among vice-provincial cities, marking the city's inclusion on the list for two consecutive years.
From January to October, a total of 476 exhibitions were held in Xi'an, with a total area of 2.18 million square meters, including international and Chinese key exhibitions, such as the 9th Silk Road International Expo, the 10th World Oil and Gas Equipment Expo, and the China-Latin America Internet Development and Cooperation Forum. These exhibitions covered energy equipment, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and cultural tourism sections.
The Xi'an municipal bureau of commerce is building an industry-matching platform to promote the integration of industry, exhibitions, and the city, and to develop commerce, culture, and tourism exhibitions. The role of exhibitions in attracting industries, promoting consumption, and shaping brands has become increasingly evident, further enhancing the reputation and international influence of urban exhibitions and injecting strong momentum into Xi'an's efforts to build an international metropolis.
