Mexican travel blogger Laura recently explored the charm of Dali in her favorite way — on two wheels. Renting a bike, she set off on a slow-paced ride around the Erhai Lake.
Along the way, she bumped into Chinese extreme cyclist Zhang Jingkun, tasted Yunnan wild-mushroom cookies at Xindi Café by the lakeside, and experienced the Bai people's Three-Course Tea in Fengyangyi village — one bitter, one sweet, one with aftertaste, each sip carrying a touch of life philosophy. The sunset scenery over the ancient town of Shuanglang was even more enchanting.
Beautiful views, new friends, and delicious bites — Laura's cycling journey revealed a Dali that is both relaxing and healing. Who wouldn't fall in love with this place? [Video by Liang Ruijing]
