Qiushan Valley in Penglai, Yantai, of East China's Shandong province has been recognized as a provincial model for ecological tourism, celebrated for its unique blend of wine culture and countryside experiences. The valley is noted for combining sustainable development with tourist appeal.
Featuring seven prestigious wineries, including Domaine de Long Dai and Runaway Cow Winery, the area offers visitors wine tasting, agricultural experiences, and scenic activities amid lush landscapes with over 72 percent vegetation coverage.
Local community involvement has been central to the valley's development. More than 82 percent of employees are locals, supporting rural vitalization. Eco-friendly projects, including biogas power generation, help maintain sustainability.
The recognition reinforces Qiushan Valley's role as a leading green tourism destination in Shandong and is expected to strengthen its brand as it continues to refine its signature wine and countryside tourism model.
