From January to October this year, the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) operated a total of 5,063 trains, a year-on-year increase of 16.3 percent.
The number of trains operated in the first 10 months of the year exceeded 5,000 for the first time, with core indicators such as train volume, freight volume, and heavy container rate ranking among the top in the country.
Li Shiguang, director of the Xi'an International Port Station, said that the optimization of transportation organization has allowed trains to achieve improvement in quality and efficiency. The highest daily loading volume reached 1,530 carriages, and on March 29, a record 28 trains were operated in a single day.
Since 2025, China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co has continued to expand transportation channels. On Sept 26, the first cross-Baltic rail-sea intermodal China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an-Hamburg) was launched. The entire journey is controlled within 17 days, opening a new path for China-made products to go global.
The rapid development of the China-Europe Railway Express is changing the regional industrial pattern. Leading enterprises in pillar industries such as Shaanxi Automobile Group and LONGi Green Energy, as well as car companies such as BYD and Geely, have taken the express to go global. In the first half of 2025, the express sent 300,000 commercial cars, of which 112,000 were exported overseas, reducing logistics costs by more than 8 percent.
Qi Chao, a representative of China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co, said that the company will continue to advance the construction of the China-Europe Railway Express Xi'an Assembly Center, strengthen cooperation with local governments, foreign trade enterprises, and platform companies, and improve the quality and comprehensive service capacity of train operations, providing strong support for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
