At the press briefing for the CIIE Shanghai Events and Conferences 2025 held on Oct 24, it was announced that the event's duration would be extended from three to four days, amplifying the spillover effects of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum to create a high-caliber platform for global exhibitors, investors, and experts.
Themed "Breaking Impasses and Fostering Synergy for Resilient Growth", the event continues with a "1+2+X" framework, comprising one Invest in China - Shanghai City Investment Promotion Conference, two sub-forums of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, which focus on Pudong's high-level institutional openness and the enhancement of the Hongqiao International Opening-up Hub, respectively, and over 100 sideline events.
The Pudong sub-forum, titled "Pudong and the World: Forging a Path to Openness, Shaping a New Industrial Landscape", stands out with its innovative format and enriched content. It features high-profile speakers, including Nobel laureate Thomas Sargent and prominent Chinese economists, alongside global executives from companies like Honeywell, ABB, and local tech leaders.
Interactive sessions will delve into cutting-edge topics such as global supply chain management, with diverse stakeholders engaging in in-depth discussions. The forum will also include a Pudong promotion segment, showcasing the area's latest achievements in high-level openness through two major project roadshows.
Furthermore, the conference will witness the launch of functional platforms like a digital industry standards innovation consortium and the release of influential reports, translating meeting consensus into tangible cooperation and serving both enterprises and industry development.
