Xi'an Xianyang International Airport plans to operate 156,000 flights, averaging 1,011 a day during the 2025 winter-spring flight season from Oct 26 to March 28, 2026, ranking seventh nationwide in scheduled flight volume.

On domestic routes, the airport has added or resumed service to 17 destinations, including Dehong, Huaian, and Longnan, bringing the total to 146, about 60 percent of the active airports nationwide.

High-demand routes such as Xi'an–Guangzhou, Kunming, Hongqiao, Urumqi, and Sanya now see more than 10 daily flights, while routes to Nanning, Zhuhai, Nanchang, and Ningbo are increased to over six daily flights. Routes to major cities now allow flights at an hourly frequency.

Internationally, daily flights average 24, connecting countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and other popular destinations. Intercontinental services link Melbourne, Moscow, London, Paris, Milan, Budapest, and Sydney.

The airport has also upgraded its service offerings, including tailored options for transit passengers such as museum visits, high-speed rail lounge access, and curated meal packages.
