Qingdao Port's Dongjiakou Port Area, located in the Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA), has launched its first general cargo route connecting Dongjiakou to Africa and Europe. This new service expands the port's international route network and strengthens its role in supporting the Belt and Road Initiative.

The route links key countries such as Sierra Leone, Morocco, and Spain, transporting machinery, cast pipes, vehicles, and steel, among other cargo.

The vessel departed from Dongjiakou Port Area on Sept 15, marking the official start of the new service. To ensure smooth and efficient loading, the port has developed a customized "one-vessel, one-strategy" plan, ensuring high-quality and timely operations for the maiden voyage.

The establishment of this route demonstrates Qingdao Port's ongoing efforts to expand its global shipping network and improve its service capabilities. By connecting more of the world to the Dongjiakou Port Area, the port can effectively meet the diverse needs of its customers. This development is a key step in supporting national development strategies and contributing to the new global economic landscape.
