10th Kubuqi International Desert Forum to be held in Ordos

The Information Office of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government on Aug 29 announced that the 10th Kubuqi International Desert Forum will be held in Ordos from Sept 16 to 17 under the theme "Scientific Desertification Control, Green Development".

The forum will feature an opening and closing ceremony, thematic forums, academic dialogues, and field visits.

Highlights include a main forum on "Scientific Desertification Control", two sub-forums on "Grassland Protection and Sustainable Management" and "Land-Friendly Business Development", and a new, in-depth exchange platform on "Technology-Driven Integrated Governance", with over 40 distinguished experts and scholars from around the world invited to participate.

Founded in 2007, the Kubuqi International Desert Forum is the world's only large-scale international forum dedicated to combating desertification and advancing the green economy.

Over the past nine sessions, it has become a key platform for showcasing China's achievements in desertification control, strengthening global cooperation, and supporting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

This year's forum aims to foster international exchanges on desertification control and ecological civilization, share China's experience, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
