Hunan farmers harvest rice amid egret spectacle

Recently, farmers in Wanjing township, Ningyuan county of Yongzhou, Hunan province, are busy harvesting early rice and planting late seedlings in the field.

Against the backdrop of green fields and Jiuyi Mountain, about 200 egrets add vitality to the busy farming scene, flying or pecking alongside the farmers.

Ningyuan is committed to building high-standard farmland and developing a quality rice industry, according to local authorities. It has fostered ecological tourism and protected biodiversity by developing green agriculture and providing a haven for wildlife.
