The Women Softball Asia Cup 2025 came to an end on July 20 in Xi'an.
The gold and bronze medal matches were cancelled due to weather. According to the ranking of the round robin results, the Chinese team won the runner-up and qualified for the 2026 Women's Softball World Cup and the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

This is the first international competition that the team has participated in during preparations for the Los Angeles Olympic Games. The Chinese team won eight games and lost one in the round robin tournament, defeating all their opponents except for the Japanese team (ranked second in the world).
The team started training early in May and formed technical and tactical strategies for different opponents.
Chai Yinan, the team's pitcher, said, "The pre-match training time was very tight, with only two months from the end of the league to the start of the Asia Cup. Sometimes we had to train and play in high temperatures, but no one complained."
"Training is very hard, and some players did not fully recover from their injuries in the league before they started preparing for the Asia Cup. Their efforts are far beyond imagination," said Tang Changdong, the team's head coach.
After the Asia Cup, the team will continue to prepare for the World Games 2025 Chengdu in August, where they expect to rank in the top four.
