The Youyiguan Border Channel at the Youyiguan Port in the Chongzuo section of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone recorded 2,072 cross-border vehicle movements in a single day, setting a new daily traffic record.

Since mid-April, the port has entered its peak import-export season, with a sharp increase in cargo clearance demand. To manage the surge, Youyiguan Customs implemented a proactive, "five-step" congestion prevention strategy: advance forecasting, daily monitoring, early warnings, tiered response, and multi-agency coordination. These measures helped ensure smooth operations during the high-traffic period.

Authorities also extended customs clearance hours and optimized staffing, supported by intelligent platforms such as the Smart Logistics Control System and Intelligent Inspection Assistance System. These tools enabled efficient cargo supervision and faster clearance. Coordination with other border inspection departments further improved vehicle routing, maintaining consistent port efficiency.

By May 17, a total of 189,900 vehicles had passed through the channel in 2024, marking a 14.57 percent year-on-year increase. The recent record underscores the port's growing role in regional trade and its enhanced logistical capacity, reinforcing Youyiguans importance as a key gateway for China-ASEAN cross-border commerce.
