Shijing village, the picturesque settlement where the mountain is located, is often likened to a sparkling jewel along the Mishui River. The area is famed for its legends, including tales of Shennong (the Divine Farmer) tasting herbs and refining elixirs and the Tang Dynasty Purple-Robed Zen Master establishing the revered Jinzi Temple.
