A 2025 development blueprint for Shanghai's key industries was unveiled at the 2025 Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Conference on March 25.

The blueprint outlines the city's strategy to boost economic growth through 10 key industries, including integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and new energy technologies.

It highlights 14 district-level specialty sectors. Among the focuses are the Linkong Business Park in Changning district and the Beidou West Hongqiao Park in Qingpu district, both located in the Hongqiao International Central Business District.

Each of the parks will develop unique projects to attract global investment. Changning's park will focus on the low-altitude economy, while Qingpu's park will work on advanced chip and 5G technologies.

Shanghai has formed four major industrial clusters in electronics, automotive, high-end equipment, and software. Leading the Yangtze River Delta in these sectors, the clusters are positioned to grow into world-class hubs.
