Nantong kicks off spring tourism promotion season

The 2025 Nantong Spring Tourism Promotion Season began on March 22 at Zhouji Menghuan Island in Tongzhou, a district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

Through an immersive experience of cultural tourism promotion, interactive performances, as well as cultural and creative markets, this event is expected to showcase the spring charm of Nantong.

During the opening ceremony, attractions such as the Zhouji Menghuan Island and the Tuju RV Camping Base were introduced through flash mobs, allowing on-site audiences and visitors to participate in lucky draws.

The main venue, Zhouji Menghuan Island, transformed into a spring-themed amusement park featuring cherry blossom avenues, flower walls, and check-in walls that attracted visitors to take photos. Over 30 influencers dressed in hanfu led a spring parade, utilizing live streaming and short videos to create an immersive experience for online viewers.

A market for intangible cultural heritage creative products was also set up, with 50 booths showcasing national intangible cultural heritage items such as blue calico cloth and local specialties like Rugao-produced soy sauce and Xiting crisp biscuits.

The highlight of the event was an elaborate fireworks display in the evening. This display featured music fountains that harmonized with the vibrant fireworks and colorful boat parades. Together, these elements provided the audience with a three-dimensional visual experience reminiscent of a fantastical dreamscape.
