Hospital, AI companies cooperate to drive digital, precise, smart healthcare

The International Medical Center Hospital in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China has signed agreements with Huawei Technologies Co and Mindray Medical International to promote the new development of full lifecycle medical and health services through cross-disciplinary cooperation and technology integration.

International Medical Group, with Xi'an International Medical Park as its core, integrates its tertiary hospitals, JCI certified institutions, and Miaoyou Medical Alliance resources, covering the full life cycle of medical and health services from reproductive medicine, disease diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and elderly care.

The Xi'an High Tech Hospital and Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital are members of the global Miaoyou Medical Alliance. Between them, the hospitals provide 10,000 beds and more than 1,000 highly-trained medical staff equipped with the latest equipment. The hospitals are highly-rated in the fields of emergency and critical care, rare disease diagnosis and treatment, and minimally invasive surgery.

The group has also introduced cutting-edge technologies such as proton therapy centers, yttrium-90, and radium-223 standardized diagnosis and treatment centers.

The signing with Huawei marks a crucial step in the group's digital transformation. Based on Huawei's leading technologies in 5G, cloud computing, and big models, both parties will jointly build a demonstration model of smart hospitals, optimize diagnosis and treatment processes, improve management efficiency, and provide composite talents for the medical industry through digital talent cultivation.

In the future, the implementation of technologies such as "cloud-based consultation" and "AI assisted diagnosis" will enable patients to experience more efficient and humane medical services.

Mindray Medical is a leading global provider of high-tech medical equipment and solutions. The group has also agreed to cooperate with groups including BGI Genomics, Guangzhou Taihe Cancer Hospital, and Shenzhen Cell Valley Biotechnology Company. They will jointly create a model of medical cooperation in tumor early screening, genetic risk testing, and precise prevention, promote the implementation of the "prevention before disease" concept, continuously explore healthy and long-lived lifestyles, build a health management and disease prevention and control system, and help promote the health of the whole nation.
