Xi'an airport achieves historic breakthrough

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport's flight information integration system has run stably since the opening of T5 on Feb 20, achieving continuous 24-hour operation in complex scenarios.

It provides optimal allocation within 40 seconds for all passing and overnight flights, marking further digitalization in the allocation of airport parking resources and achieving new results in constructing smart airports.

To meet rapid business development needs, the operations control center dispatched personnel to the airport construction headquarters in October 2023 to construct the flight information integration system. After one and a half years, they developed the allocation platform, a historic breakthrough from manual to automatic allocation of parking resources.

The platform ensures a 100 percent success rate in flight allocation and assigns each flight to the most reasonable parking spot, achieving zero business conflicts. It can perform real-time conflict detection and elimination to ensure operational safety, achieve the shortest walking distance for passengers, and adjust boarding gates, aircraft taxiing, and other more humanized optimizations.

The Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Operations Control Center will continue to promote high-quality civil aviation development and focus on digital transformation to empower the construction of the Xi'an Airport hub.
