"Hubei has developed a complete aerospace research and development (R&D), manufacturing, and operations industry chain, serving as a crucial national aerospace base," said Xiang Weiming, global vice-president of GE Aerospace. He specifically noted Wuhan's national aerospace industry base and Xiangyang's aerospace industrial park, hoping this event would forge new partnerships in Hubei's aerospace industry chain.
"In October 2010, Pfizer established the Pfizer Intelligent Healthcare Innovation Center in Wuhan National Bio-industry Base, becoming a vital part of the company's global R&D and medical network," stated Que Fei, Pfizer China's vice-president.
Pfizer's Wuhan R&D center has grown significantly over the past 15 years, benefiting from Hubei's scientific, educational, and innovative advantages and employing over 700 highly qualified researchers. Que emphasized that in 2025, Pfizer will continue to support Hubei in building a nationally influential technology innovation hub and will participate in the 7th CIIE.
To strengthen the CIIE's spillover effects and support the economic development of central and western China, this CIIE promotion event has been held in seven provinces and municipalities, with the "China International Import Expo in Hubei" being the eighth stop and the first in 2025.
