International flavors shine in Xi'an

An international culinary and cultural exchange event on March 14 at the Silk Road Hall in the Central Asia Park, Xi'an, attracted hundreds of friends from various countries, cultural scholars, and locals for a vibrant Silk Road culture market. A ceremony was held during the event to unveil the Silk Road Cultural Exchange and Communication Base.

Participants from Egypt, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Zambia, and Georgia showcased their countries' culinary delights, wines, and handicrafts, drawing large crowds eager to taste and explore different cultures.

A highlight of the day was a cocktail demonstration by Jason from the US and Nico from France. They impressed the audience with their bartending flair, serving up pink cocktails amid applause. As partners of Red Oak Bar, they expressed their excitement about being part of the event.

An Egyptian chef prepared Shawarma, sharing the dish's unique features, while an Italian restaurant served freshly baked Neapolitan pizzas, with Italian and French representatives eager to share an authentic taste of Italy.

Guo Junsheng, a fourth-generation inheritor of Guo's traditional Chinese medicine bone setting, demonstrated his skills, attracting Chinese and international guests and students from Italy, France, and Zambia who were fascinated by the experience, with one commenting on how much relief they felt after the treatment.

Local resident Yao expressed his enthusiasm, stating that such cultural exchanges are essential for enhancing international trade and cooperation. He hopes to see more events like this in the future.
