OVC Suspended Monorail Cherry Blossom Season

This year, the OVC Suspended Monorail is all about cherry blossoms! From cherry blossom-themed corridors and graffiti to train carriages, the moment you step into the station, you're transported into a cherry blossom fairy tale.

Visitors can enjoy interactive activities like stamp collecting and DIY crafts, and take home handmade gifts like cherry blossom-scented sachets and candles.

The OVC Suspended Monorail also offers joint tickets with Donghu Cherry Blossom Garden and Jiufeng Mountain Zoo, providing double the fun and discounts.

Wuhan's most beautiful cherry blossom bus stop

Where is Wuhan's most beautiful cherry blossom bus stop? Locals will say it's the Dahuang village bus stop on Luoyu East Road in OVC.

Each mid-to-late March, over 10 cherry trees around the station bloom. People waiting for buses and flower enthusiasts love to take photos here. Even drivers slow down to admire the view.

As of March 10, the bus stop has been upgraded. The extended platform now offers a more convenient and comfortable experience for flower viewing and waiting for the bus. Now passengers can enjoy the "clouds of cherry blossoms" overhead.

The bus stop is a free cherry blossom viewing spot. Visitors can take Metro Line 2 to Guanggu Boulevard Station or Jiayuan Road Station and walk to the bus stop, or take buses 28, 781, 703, or 340 to reach the stop.

Cherry blossom beauty in OVC's campuses

Cherry blossoms bloom in the East and West campuses of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from mid-March to early April. Visitors can scan a QR code at the gate to make a reservation for entry.

Huazhong Agricultural University features early and late-blooming Japanese cherry blossoms. Early varieties bloom in mid-March, while late varieties bloom from late March to mid-April. Popular spots include Cherry Blossom Avenue, the administration building, and the residential area. Entry requires ID card scanning.

Cherry blossoms are primarily located in the East and North campuses of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), with some in the West and Future City campuses, and usually reach peak bloom in late March. Visitors must scan a QR code at the gate and use their ID card to enter.

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law features Yoshino and Kanzan cherry blossoms, which are located around Wenbo Building, the library, and Xiaonan Lake in the Nanhu campus and typically peak in late March. Public entry requires a WeChat reservation or QR code scan and an ID card at the gate.

Hubei University of Economics plants over 1,200 cherry trees, mainly around Cherry Blossom Valley, Qunxian Building, the laboratory, and teaching buildings. The bloom period is from late February to late March. Entry is granted through invitation or reservation.

Other cherry blossom spots in OVC

Cherry blossoms can also be found along Optics Valley Square, Duomo Youth Auditorium, and Luoyu Road. Other spots include the OVC Central Ecological Corridor and Jiufengxi Park, which are all ready to welcome visitors for cherry blossom viewing.
