Established on Nov 6, 1965, the Huaihai Campaign Memorial Hall is the only large-scale, specialized museum in China dedicated to showcasing the history of the Huaihai Campaign, one of the three major battles in the War of Liberation (1946-49).
Spanning an area of 70,000 square meters, the museum features a total building area of 25,600 sq m. At its center stands a panoramic painting hall with a 25-meter radius and a height of 28 meters, offering an immersive visual experience of the campaign. The museum's 12,000-square-meter exhibition space features sections on the conditions that led to the campaign, the campaign itself, civilian support efforts, tributes to heroes, and more.
The museum houses a collection of over 20,000 items, primarily artifacts, photographs, documents, and artworks related to the campaign. Noteworthy exhibits include orders, diaries, maps, and weaponry used during the battle, which provide invaluable insights into this pivotal moment in Chinese history.
