Leading robot developer Unitree Robotics – based in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province – recently revealed it had taken its humanoid robots to the next level of skills by showcasing impressive martial arts moves in a newly released video.
Posted on Unitree's official social media account, the video features the G1 robot executing a smooth sequence of kung fu strikes, finishing with a precise spinning kick.
Dubbed the "kung fu bot", the robot demonstrates enhanced learning algorithms, which Unitree says can produce "any move, any time".
The clip has quickly grabbed the limelight, with some viewers requesting a demonstration of Yong Chun, one of the youngest and most contemporary styles of kung fu.
Just a week earlier, Unitree unveiled a video of the G1 robot dancing despite some external interference. Now, its agility extends beyond the dance floor – proving it can both perform and fight with finesse.
