To celebrate the opening of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport's T5 Terminal, two 3D-printed Terracotta Warriors from Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum have "traveled" to the airport's museum.
The museum carefully selected and digitally scanned these 3D-printed terracotta warriors. After years of continuous experimentation and refinement, the replicas vividly showcase the diversity of the original warriors unearthed from the mausoleum. They also highlight the latest advancements in technological preservation and restoration of cultural relics.
Whether for hurried travelers or culture enthusiasts, these high-tech ancient warriors in the modern transportation hub offer a unique experience. Visitors can closely observe the fine details of the terracotta army, feel the grandeur of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), and witness the intersection of history and technology.
This initiative, a collaboration between Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum and China Eastern Airlines, aims to integrate cultural heritage with aviation. Utilizing the airport as a global gateway will showcase the richness and vitality of Chinese civilization.
