The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Shenergy Energy Development Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Shenergy Group, on Feb 18.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate on the development of an integrated oil-hydrogen energy station project as part of the broader hydrogen energy infrastructure layout in NTEDA. The project will include the construction of a technology center for integrated oil and hydrogen refueling.

With support from Nantong, the plan also supports the development of distributed photovoltaic systems, onshore and offshore wind turbines, and green electricity-powered hydrogen production projects, aiming to establish a zero-carbon, green hydrogen energy demonstration project in the region.

This partnership aims to position NETDA as the core hub of the Yangtze River Delta hydrogen energy corridor and turn Nantong into a national model city for hydrogen energy.
