Commercial activities held to promote urban economic development

Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province in Northwest China, experienced robust commercial growth in 2024, marked by a booming first-store economy.

As a summary and further promotion, the 2024 Xi'an Business Innovation Development Conference and Annual Consumer Promotion Series Awards Ceremony were held on January 16. The event led by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce and hosted by the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Bureau of Culture and Tourism, was organized by the Xi'an Chain Store & Franchise Association.

Yang Junfeng, executive chairman of Xi'an Chain Store & Franchise Association highlighted that in 2024, Xi'an's commercial growth surged, with top brands across various sectors entering the market and successful consumer promotions, including trade-in programs.

The Win Data showed that, in the first three quarters of 2024, Xi'an opened a total of 239 first stores, which played a positive and important role in enhancing the city's commercial vitality.

The 2024 "Consumer Promotion Year" Xi'an Consumer Brand Contribution Award, Business Integration Innovation Award, Business Butterfly Upgrade Award, Business New Talent Award and other awards were announced, commending outstanding enterprises and individuals who have promoted commercial innovation and consumer prosperity in Xi'an. Their achievements are the driving force and benchmark of commercial development, inspiring the industry to strive forward.

And the 2024 "Consumer Promotion Year" Xi'an Commercial First Store Development Award, City New Business Card Award, Commercial Landmark Award, Commercial Excellence Person Award were also announced. The award-winning enterprises and individuals have made outstanding achievements in actively introducing first store brands to enhance commercial levels, shaping city characteristic commercial business cards, creating landmark commercial projects, and demonstrating excellent leadership abilities in the commercial field, demonstrating the vitality and competitiveness of Xi'an's commerce.

The keynote forum revolves around the breakthrough of Xi'an's integrated development of commerce, culture, and tourism. Guests shared their insights and strategies from multiple dimensions, including innovative business operation models, integration of cultural elements, and linkage of tourism resources, based on their respective practical experiences, which provides diverse perspectives and practical guidance for the future development direction of Xi'an's commerce.
