Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area is ramping up cooperation with the Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration Bureau to establish a dynamic management mechanism for inviting units, significantly amplifying the spillover effects of the port e-visa policy.

A total of 1,344 organizations have been included in the list of inviting units, and 25 foreign experts from companies such as V. Group and Tesla have already entered the country through port e-visa.

James, business director of the London-based V. Group, said that their business in China has been greatly facilitated by the introduction of port e-visa. The policy has completely transformed the cumbersome traditional visa application process, eliminating the need to wait for the issuance of physical visas, he said.

A Tesla human resources specialist highlighted the convenience and efficiency of the new port e-visa policy, noting that the fastest approval was obtained in just two days, setting a new benchmark for the swift entry of foreign experts into Lin-gang.

"We have already invited four foreign experts from our headquarters to enter through the port e-visa policy, ensuring the steady progress of our core projects," the specialist added.

The implementation of the port e-visa has not only streamlined the visa application and approval processes but has also significantly accelerated the entry of foreign nationals in Shanghai, boosting business activities and project advancements within the Lin-gang Special Area.

This innovative approach underscores China's commitment to facilitating international cooperation and fostering a conducive environment for international exchanges and collaboration.
