Taizhou named "2024 Happiest City in China" for 5th consecutive year

On Dec 20, the 2024 Happiest Cities Forum organized by Oriental Outlook Weekly was held in Shanghai. Taizhou was honored as one of China's Happiest Cities of 2024, marking the fifth consecutive year it has received the prestigious title. The city ranked second among all municipal-level cities, alongside other winners such as Suzhou, Weihai, and Wenzhou.

Liu Xia, head of the publicity department of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee, highlighted the city's unique charm. Rooted in its history as a water city, Taizhou offers a picturesque blend of scenic beauty and vibrant local life.

The forum brought together representatives from nearly 50 cities and districts, alongside experts, scholars, and media professionals, to discuss urban governance and innovation under the theme "Reform and Innovation Make Urban Life Happier".

Taizhou's recognition reflects its successful efforts in fostering cultural, environmental, and economic vitality.
