The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled its 2024 Green Manufacturing List, with three new additions from Wuxi New District.
The Wuxi Taihu International Science and Technology Park was named a National Green Industrial Park, while Wuxi Bainiantong Industrial Transportation and Wuxi Pro-Face Electronics were recognized as a National Green Factory and National Green Supply Chain Management Enterprise, respectively. These achievements place WND at the forefront of green manufacturing in the city.
The Wuxi Taihu International Science and Technology Park emphasizes green and low-carbon development, focusing on areas like energy storage, hydrogen energy, and virtual power plants. It has attracted nearly 300 low-carbon-related companies, including over 150 leading enterprises, innovative tech firms, certification platforms, and service agencies. The park continues to drive energy transition and balance high-quality industrial growth with environmental protection.
Bainiantong utilizes cutting-edge equipment such as intelligent warehousing and logistics systems. To enhance sustainable manufacturing, the company has implemented projects for material recycling and process optimization to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Pro-Face Electronics, a core factory of Schneider Electric, manufactures a variety of touch screens and smart home systems. The company has adopted comprehensive energy management solutions, real-time energy monitoring, and recyclable materials for packaging. These efforts contribute to digitizing and greening its supply chain.
