At the opening of the 2024 Sensors Summit, CCID Consulting released its 2024 report on the development of China's top 10 sensor industrial parks, with Wuxi New District maintaining its position as the third leading sensor hub in the nation.

The evaluation considered factors such as industrial competitiveness, supporting infrastructure, and regional advantages. It assessed 15 criteria, including marketability, technological innovation, leading enterprises, product competitiveness, infrastructure development, platform construction, industrial policies, talent pool, and regional transportation.

WND is home to nearly 50 industry-leading sensor companies, forming a complete industrial chain that spans design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and module applications. The core sensor industry in the area exceeds 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion), accounting for over 40 percent of Wuxi's total output.

The China Internet of Things International Innovation Park in the district serves as the main base for the sensor industry's development. The park houses over 30 industry leaders, including Sparc, a global leader in sensor and analog chips, and MEMS pressure sensor chip supplier Longway Technology, alongside top-tier companies like Senmol and Specrizon.

WND plans to further optimize its sensor industry ecosystem by focusing on infrastructure support, platform development, sci-tech innovation, capital empowerment, and international cooperation.
