Zhoushan-Hong Kong direct flight sees rising number of passengers

Passengers waiting to board the direct flight from Zhoushan to Hong Kong began checking in and passing through security at the international terminal of Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport on Dec 12.

As of Dec 9, the regular route between Zhoushan and Hong Kong has completed 30 flights, transporting a total of 3,585 passengers, with an average seat occupancy rate of around 64 percent.

The regular route was launched on Nov 7, offering a 2.5-hour flight every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. It has facilitated tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two regions.

On Dec 9, a delegation of 14 representatives from travel agencies from Taiwan arrived in Zhoushan via the route for a four-day inspection tour, aiming to enhance the passenger flow for the Hong Kong flights.

"After the Spring Festival holiday, we plan to conduct special promotional activities in Hong Kong and establish close partnerships with local travel agencies specializing in Putuo tours," said a representative of Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport.
