Siberian seagulls flock to Qingdao shores for winter retreat

The Zhanqiao Pier in Qingdao's Shinan district has welcomed back the Siberian seagulls for their annual winter visit.

To celebrate the arrival of these avian guests, the district has launched a series of events with the theme "Come to Shinan to see the seagulls in winter", featuring a variety of engaging activities.

These include the "Seagull Quest" stamp collection challenge, the Seagull Creative Theme Bus, the Seagull Creative Market, and the "Seagulls Soaring in Qingdao" photography contests. The events offer seven major thematic sections and over ten activities for participants to enjoy.

A highlight of the festivities is the Seagull Market, offering a range of seagull-themed merchandise. Visitors can find seagull bookmarks, artistic postcards, seagull canvas bags, fridge magnets, and the highly sought-after Jellycat seagull plush toys, among other seagull-themed creative cultural products.
