The 1,200-mu (80 hectares) winter vegetable supply base established by Guiyang Vegetable Basket Group Co, a subsidiary of State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group, is working at full capacity to ensure steady vegetable production and supply this winter. So far, over 200 metric tons of vegetables have been sold, with an estimated total yield of 3,000 tons this season.
Inside the greenhouses in Luodian county, screw peppers and tomatoes are thriving, presenting a scene of abundance. Local farmer Wang Huichun, busy with field management, has seen her planting business flourish thanks to the Guiyang Vegetable Basket Group Co's expertise in greenhouse cultivation, making her a prominent grower in the area.

"This year, the base is mainly cultivating screw peppers and tomatoes. We are currently in the prime season for off-season vegetable sales, with the market outlook very promising. Thanks to careful management early on, the crops are growing well and will be able to be harvested and sold continuously until next June," said Gao Weimeng, the base manager.
In addition to ensuring vegetable supply, Luodian county base also provides technical guidance to the 20,000-mu winter-spring supply order base in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area. This initiative focuses on improving the production of spring vegetables like chili peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, beans, and corn.
These efforts not only promote the high-quality development of Luodian's vegetable industry but also offer strong support for increasing local farmers' incomes.
