On Nov 30, the "Songs of Inner Mongolia – Yellow River Spectacle" Baotou Ice Floating Watching Week kicked off, attracting visitors from across China eager to experience the city's vibrant culture and tourism.

Dressed in colorful attire and armed with gongs and drums, invited performers welcomed tourists with energetic beats, setting a warm and lively tone. Visitors stepping off the special tourist trains from Shanxi and Ordos were greeted with traditional Hada scarves and an invitation to join in a dance. "The drumming mirrors the energy of the Yellow River and embodies Baotou's enthusiasm," remarked Lei Yanhua, a tourist from Shanxi.

The Yellow River Market, Baotou's latest cultural hotspot, showcased regional delicacies, street blessings, and immersive performances, offering a rich exploration of Yellow River culture. Social media influencer Wang Lei from Xi'an marveled at the breathtaking views of ice drifts as well as the many cultural activities on offer, while Ordos visitor Gao Feng excitedly shared her gastronomic discoveries.

"We aim to make Baotou a winter tourism hub by integrating Yellow River heritage with unique offerings," said Gao Binge, vice general manager of Baotou Culture and Tourism Group.
