Langfang hosts Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cultural exchange conference

The first Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Art Exhibition and Exchange Conference was held on Nov 14 at the Silk Road International Arts Center in Langfang, Hebei province. Experts and artists from home and abroad shared their views on the region’s coordinated cultural development.

Committed to introducing premier domestic and international dramas and exhibitions to the region, the center launched the Unique Dream of Red Mansion theme park last year. Featuring distinctive scenes and immersive theater performances all-year-round, the theme park allows tourists to travel back in time to explore the charm of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) novel Dream of the Red Chamber, which recounts social life and folk customs of that time.

So far, nearly 60 percent of its tourists are from Beijing and Tianjin, with the number expcted to rise, according to the park’s organizers.
