Citizens holding ordinary passports from 59 eligible countries can visit Hainan visa-free for up to 30 days.
Travelers are permitted entry for various purposes, including tourism, business activities, family visits, medical treatment, participation in exhibitions, attendance at sporting events and other non-work or non-study reasons.
Visitors can enter Hainan through any of its open ports without prior declaration, subject to inspection and approval by border authorities. Once admitted, travelers are free to explore the entire province.
To be eligible for visa-free entry, travelers flying to Hainan must arrive by either a direct international flight from their home country or transit via a third country or through the Chinese regions of Hong Kong or Macao.
The 59 eligible countries are as follows: Russia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Monaco, and Belarus.
