China's skills carnival held in Guilin showcases talent, innovation

From Nov 8 to 11, the "China Skills Carnival 2024 — Entering Guangxi" was conducted alongside the 3rd Vocational Skills Competition of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the 2024 Innovative and Entrepreneurial Achievements Exchange Event for Domestic and Overseas High-end Talents in Guilin, Guangxi.

These initiatives brought together skilled artisans from various industries, featuring their expertise across 32 competition projects, with participation from 97 delegations comprising 880 outstanding competitors. Apart from the skill competitions, elements of intangible cultural heritage were highlighted as representatives demonstrated traditional crafts like embroidery and fan-making.

Furthermore, these events facilitated talent exchange and cooperation in key industries such as the digital economy, advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, modern agriculture, and environmental protection. The innovation-driven activities attracted numerous domestic and international experts and outstanding talents presenting innovative projects in areas including industrial automation, robotics, and renewable energy.

The activities further promoted regional talent exchange and cooperation, with participants from ASEAN countries actively engaging in discussions. Through various forums, including the China-ASEAN Youth Talent Exchange Forum and the 2024 China-ASEAN Youth "Explore Guangxi" Short Video Competition, a spirit of innovation, rural vitalization, and cultural exchange was fostered.
