The Xi'an Beilin District Low-altitude Economic Industry Development Innovation Conference and the Establishment Ceremony of the Aerospace Special Committee of Xi'an Talent Association were held on Friday in Beilin district, Xi'an, in Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
More than 300 experts, scholars, and representatives from universities, innovative enterprises and service organizations in the field of low-altitude technology innovation attended the conference.
At the event, the Aerospace Special Committee of Xi'an Talent Association was unveiled. Sixteen research institutes and enterprises from Beijing, Shenzhen and Xi'an became members of the committee, which will jointly build an industry-university-research platform, explore the application of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data in the field of low-altitude economy, and cultivate new quality productive forces.
Beilin sets out its stall as a district that has distinct advantages in talent cultivation, scientific research, and a welcoming industry and business environment for developing the low-altitude economy. The district is home to 17 universities, including Xi'an Jiaotong University and Northwestern Polytechnical University, as well as 131 research institutions of various types, with more than 60,000 scientific researchers working in the area.
The low-altitude economy refers to the economic model driven by vitality and creativity generated by 85% of unmanned aerial vehicles and 15% of manned aircraft operating at altitudes below 1 kilometer (extending to 3 kilometers in certain circumstances).
The latest technological achievements and application cases from Beijing, Shenzhen, Xi'an, and other low altitude economic fields were showcased in the science and technology achievement exhibition area of the conference. These new technologies and products have given people an insight into the low altitude economy.
