Intl orchestral competition to kick off in Beijing

The 2024 Khachaturian International Youth Competition will open on Friday at China National Opera House. This year’s event features celebrated conductor Sergey Smbatyan, the Symphony Orchestra of China National Opera House and the Armenian National Symphony Orchestra. Hundreds of finalists from around the world will arrive in Beijing for 10 days of intense competition following global preliminaries, which was held in Macao in August.
