Under the on-site supervision of Taiyuan Airport Customs, a batch of Chinese-made goods boarded a Tianjin Air Cargo Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport in North China's Shanxi province on Oct 21, bound for Almaty, Kazakhstan.

This flight marks the opening of an air cargo channel connecting Shanxi to Central Asian countries, boosting economic and trade exchanges between the two sides. It further expands logistics channels between the Yellow River Basin, Central Asian countries, and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The flight operates every Monday and Friday, with the cargo distributed to countries in Central Asia and Europe after arrival. It is expected to transport Shanxi specialties, automotive parts, new energy products, electronic products, and medical devices in the future.

The one-way charter flight takes six hours and can return on the same day. Air transportation is 60 percent more efficient and 30 percent cheaper than the previous road and rail transportation system.

This is the second international cargo charter route opened in Shanxi. Taiyuan Airport Customs provided full-process guidance in route application, aircraft registration, transport tool declaration, manifest transmission, and holiday customs clearance guarantees.

Taiyuan Airport Customs plans to continue improving supervision efficiency and services, contributing to Shanxi's high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
