In recent years, Tai'an, Shandong province has developed a new model with new activities to attract tourists to places other than Mount Tai.

At the foot of Mount Tai, in the Hongmenli cultural block, visitors can dress in Tang Dynasty (618-907) jackets and Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) horse-face skirts, tie their hair with green silk, try on flower hairpins, take beautiful photos, taste local cuisine, and immerse themselves in the culture.

Since its official opening during the May Day holiday, the Hongmenli cultural block has introduced several cultural and tourism projects, including the immersive "Tai Shan Shen Qi" experience hall, local specialty restaurants featuring "Tai'an Flavor", the "Tai Shan Witness" marriage registration office, and the "Tai'an Impression" specialty cultural and creative store, becoming a new cultural and tourism destination that combines leisure, entertainment, dining, and trendy experiences.

Since its opening, the cultural block has received over 2.2 million visitors, generating revenue exceeding 60 million yuan ($8.5 million), according to official statistics.

Mount Tai is a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Tai'an is named after Mount Tai, symbolizing national peace and prosperity. Starting from Mount Tai but not limited to it, Tai'an has been promoting the integration and development of culture, tourism, sports, and Mount Tai, making the Mount Tai brand more vibrant.

Initiatives promoting the integrated development of culture, tourism, sports, and Mount Tai have facilitated the integration, openness, and sharing of cultural and tourism attractions in Tai'an.

Statistics show that in the first half of this year, Tai'an welcomed 43.19 million visitors, generating 41.51 billion yuan in total tourism revenue, with year-on-year growth rates of 13.1 percent and 13.4 percent, respectively.
